Dawn of the digital age
I am now the proud owner of a new 12.9" iPad Pro. An Apple Pencil too, of course.
I have been pondering this decision for over a year. My main reason for moving from traditional media to digital is because it will make the creative process so much easier. As everyone knows, with digital, all you need to do is click the "draw good" button and bad drawings are a thing of the past. It's a real time saver.
I have only had this beast of an iPad for a couple of days now, so I have much to learn. For those of you that are interested, I drew this using Procreate. This is the program I have chosen to use exclusively. My quick little doodle here doesn't do the program (or the iPad Pro) any justice...but man oh man am I excited about what I'll be able to do with this combo once I get comfortable with it.

Cubeman
This morning you were probably all thinking, "I bet Jason will post an awesome drawing today because he's had all weekend to come up with something great!"
You're right, I did have all weekend to create an amazing piece of art, but instead, I drew this.

New dad
There's a good chance that I will be the only one that finds this funny. I drew it late at night while in a cloudy state of insomnia. It seemed amusing at the time.

Frank and Clark
I have absolutely no idea why I drew this or what it means. Perhaps if I sat down and thought about it for long enough I could come up with an interesting story...but that's not going to happen. My apologies to Frank and Clark.

Fowl behaviour
Criminal activity among ducks is on the rise. The root of the problem is that the unemployment rate within the duck community is 100%. If you're a business owner, I urge you to please consider hiring a duck. The streets, and parks, will be safer as a result.

Lumberjack
I'm not entirely sure what this little-headed big-bodied thing is...he's almost human, but not quite. What I do know is that his name is Leon and he spends his days chopping down trees. If you want to know anything about what it's like to be a lumberjack, just axe him.

My relationship with art
During these last few days I have struggled mightily to draw anything that doesn't completely suck. Time and again I would finish inking a drawing and initially be pleased with the result, but then I would quickly come to the realization that what I had created was actually a complete and utter piece of steamy poop.
My relationship with art is a complicated one.

Too bad, so sad
I'm confident that I will be receiving some sort of prestigious literary award for this.

One last look
I know it's autumn now, but I thought I'd give you one last look at summer.
