Duck Outlaws

Meet Gus and Clyde, the two most feared duck gunslingers in the West...or at least that's what they say. Personally, I don't know anyone that's afraid of a duck.

Really cool Jason!!

I see. You don't know anyone who is afraid of a duck...you haven't met the ducks in my neighborhood then...

Nice one Jason...You've mastered that Pentel Pocket Brush pen quite well. The undulating line quality now makes your stuff livelier than ever. Bad-ass ducks btw :)

ducks are fine but I'm terrified of geese!...great job, jason-you're getting very proficient with that pen.

Jason, I hope you send your work out to publishers. You have such a unique & fresh style, I know this is the kind of work that art directors (especially in children's publishing) are looking for these days. Wonderful style, especially the robots (okay...okay...the ducks are good too)!

Chelsea - I had fun with the outfits, thanks for noticing!

TJ - Do you have gangster ducks in your neighborhood?

Justdoodleit - Thanks so much for your comments. I don't feel that I'm anywhere near the point of "mastering" the brush pen, but I am having a lot of fun using it.

Renee - Duck Dodgers...yeah, I grew up on that stuff!

Abz - Especially gunslinger ducks (as long as their guns aren't pointed at you that is).

Tomas - I really enjoy drawing ducks, their body shape appeals to me for some reason...I'm not saying I want to have a body shaped like a duck though.

Robert - Yes indeed.

Michael - Yeah, never turn your back on geese. You can't trust those guys.

Chris - Wow, thank you so much for your input. Where to start though? I'll might have to start doing some homework on getting my work out into the world.

I love this one. The hats! The tie! The lines! Nice, nice, nice work.

Yes. Gangster ducks and Mafia ducks. It can be quite scary to walk pass them...they stare and some even hiss "Are YOU looking at me?"

Jason Curtis said...

Voz - Thanks!

TJ - Make sure you always carry a loaf of Wonder Bread with you. If a gangster duck starts giving you attitude just toss some pieces of the loaf, ducks go crazy for bread...which will give you a chance to get away.

Very cool characters.
Have they a name? maybe Quackdraw McGraw and Billy the Quack? :)

Jason Curtis said...

Juan - Billy the Quack...that's funny! He's probably a quack shot too.

These two are soooo funny. The body shapes are briliant!
Re. the comment above about you not sending work out to publishers yet - is that true? Cos you blimmin well should be!! Your work is just great!!

Krishna Chavda said...

Mary - I really like the body shapes too, they're a lot of fun to draw. It's true, I haven't sent my work out into the "real" world...but I think I may change that. Thank you for your encouragement.

Krishna - I enjoyed drawing their little outfits, so thanks for noticing.
