Doodling with my brush pen

A few days ago Michael Robertson suggested that I try doodling with my brush pen. So, I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I didn't lay down any pencil work, I just dove in as if I were doodling with my favorite pen, but this time I was using a brush. This is my first (and only) attempt, but I'm looking forward to doing more. Unlike a pen obviously, no two lines are the same when using a brush which can be fun.

Geez, even when you try something for the first time, the result flawless & beautiful! I don't know if I should worship you or hate you! You are a natural artist!

This has a real liveliness to it! I enjoy it. I especially love the doodles in his hair!

Chris - You are far too kind sir...but thank you very much.

Justdoodleit - Thanks.

Chelsea - His hair is actually my least favorite part of this guy...so I'm glad to hear that someone enjoyed it.

Looks really cool. A variation is always cool to take a break from the usual. My brush pen seems to be letting out too many dry strokes for some reason. Not that I'm complaining:)

P.S. -I need a Pentel too. I'm jealous.

Jazzlamb - The Pentel really is a great brush pen. I couldn't be happier...then again, it's the only brush pen I've ever tried so what the hell do I know!

ooo! the pen variation is great! especially in places like the back and the backpart of the arm, doubles as a mini shadow! as usual, the character is awesome too.
