Not Feeling Well

I've been feeling under the weather lately, but if given the choice, I think I'd prefer to not feel well, rather than not looking well. After all, not feeling well is only temporary...not looking well is permanent.

Vespa

I had fun drawing the Vespa for my Monday doodle, so I decided to do another. Hmmm, maybe I'll do a series of monsters riding Vespa's?

Happy Birthday!

Today is my best friends birthday, so everyone together...

"Happy birthday to Jae, Happy birthday to Jae....blah, blah, blah"

Jae rides a beautiful motorcycle, a Triumph Bonneville, but I decided to give him a more manly bike here, a Vespa!

Thank you for your friendship over the years Jae. I hope you have a great day.

Happy birthday!

P.S. Is that a grey hair I see?

Two Hundred!!

This is my 200th post (try to say that 10 times fast, I dare you).

I started this blog back in March, and ever since then I've been diligently doodling away, posting 5 days a week. The days turn into weeks, and the weeks into months, and here we are at doodle # 200. Not bad...well, some of the doodles have been bad, but I'm proud of myself for sticking with this.

I haven't had much time at all to dedicate to this blog, besides quickly scribbling my daily doodle, but the time I do spend putting pen to paper are the most enjoyable minutes of my day.

What the heck?

I just jumped right in with the brush pen and drew a wavy line, and then filled in the details to create some kind of creature. So, I have no clue what the heck this thing is supposed to be (but that's half the fun isn't it?)

In need of dental work

Hmmm...I actually don't care for this drawing. However, this blog isn't meant to be a place where I only post the stuff I like. I just want to keep doodling, learning, and growing as a cartoonist wannabe. Anyway, hopefully one of you won't dislike this drawing as much as I do!

Happy Birthday Audrey!

My lovely wife, Audrey, celebrated her birthday on Saturday. Instead of going the Hallmark route (no offense Hallmark) I drew up this little ditty for her. I also gave her a pony named Bruce, a solid gold crown to wear around the house, and a magical pair of slippers.

...yeah, I'm the best husband ever.

Overcompensating

Have you ever noticed that some short guys seems to overcompensate by being particularly nasty?

I think the big guy should just sit on the loud little fella.

My second attempt with the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

My second try with the Pentel. I quickly penciled this drawing (but in my excitement to get to the inking I forgot to scan it). With an ear-to-ear grin on my face, I eagerly dove in with the pocket brush. I've always enjoyed using pens, but I'm really liking how much life there is in a brush stroke.
